Sparta Prague are the city's best known team, playing in the Champions League and UEFA Cup regularly. The side are one of the biggest teams in the Czech League, always fighting it out at the top of the table, and often winning the league.
It may come as a surprise to hear that the largest stadium in the world is located here in Prague. The Strahov Stadium holds almost 250,000 people, and has 8 football pitches within it. It is used by Sparta Prague for training but also handles other matches and major events such as concerts from time to time.
As Sparta are regular competitors in European matches it is worth booking in advance as much as possible to avoid the disappointment of not getting flights out to the game, or even missing out on a hotel room if staying over.
